USPA NEWS - French Minister of Culture, Ms. Rachida Dati, travelled to Morocco for a two days trip, to visit Morocco, in Rabat the capital and the South, in Sahara from Sunday, February 16 to Tuesday, February 18.
The trip of the French Minister of Culture, Rachida Dati, themed: “strengthen cultural bilateral cooperation between France & Morocco”, brought together Moroccan cultural leaders and Institutional, and their French counterparts, traveling within a French delegation, and community leaders in the South of Morocco, (Sahara, Laayoune, Dakhla) to discuss key common cultural initiatives.
Mrs Rachida Dati, expressed gratitude to the organizers and emphasized the French government’s support for French-Moroccan cultural bridge between the two communities. Moroccan Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication and presided over a signing ceremony of nine (9) agreements between French cultural operators and their Moroccan counterparts:
1. Declaration of intent between the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication of the Kingdom of Morocco and the Ministry of Culture of the French Republic relating to cooperation in the field of audiovisual heritage and cinema;

2. Cooperation agreement between the Department of Communication of the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication and the National Center for Cinema and Animated Image

3. Specific agreement relating to the cooperation protocol between the National Library of the Kingdom of Morocco and the Embassy of France in Morocco and the National Library of France
6. Collaboration agreement between the National Institute of Archeology and Heritage Sciences and the National Institute of Preventive Archeological Research
Finally, Rachida Dati visited the new spaces of the Moroccan Cinematheque in Rabat, where a film archive exchange took place between Morocco and France.
